Travel Diaries: Hong Kong - Part one

Look who just went on an Adven....TOUR (no? bad pun? okay...) in Hong Kong??? *raises hand*
Hong Kong is a really great place to tour with your family and/or friends. And to make things better, do it during the fall or winter season! The temperature dropped til 14 Celsius. It's really cold. Three layers of clothing aren’t really enough to be honest . . . unless they're all thick and are really "winter-material."
Okay, let's get on with the blogpost.
DAY ONE
We arrived at the Hong Kong airport around 10 a.m. I didn't have any pictures of the sky because I didn't get to sit by the window. I tried my best to stay awake but failed though. I didn't get to eat lunch that was prepared by the flight attendants.
Then we went straight to the hotel. We let the time pass by unpacking our stuff and taking pictures. I didn't get to eat anything but a cupcake and a biscuit. I was too excited and I thought we were going to eat somewhere nearby.

We rode the MTR to Admiralty Station and from there; we hopped on a double-decker bus to get to Ocean Park. Check out my blog post about it too! :)
We also went to the Tamar Park to take pictures and to see the Light Rose Garden, which are displayed until the 22nd of February.
It was mesmerizing but you have to work your way before you get too close to the roses.
The day ended quickly. We got back at the Yau Ma Tei station around 9:30 PM, but we got lost. We couldn't find the hotel and which street it was located. We weren't sure if it was at Nathan Road or at Shanghai Street. . . so it took us an hour to get back.
Day Two
To be honest, I have been looking forward to this trip since October.
And you have no idea how excited I was when I heard the news!
One of the reasons why I've been dreaming of visiting Hong Kong is because of Disney.
Well... what can I say? I'm such a Disney kid.
I mean, who doesn't like Disney?

This is what I wore on our second day.
I was still freezing, though. I own a lot of sweaters but I only brought one.
It was a really bad move.

To start the day, we went on a city tour. We stopped by a jewelry shop, a chocolate store and the Avenue/Garden of stars.

There isn't much difference between Hong Kong and the Philippines.
Yes, you have read it right.
During the bus ride around the city, my sister told me that the place and buildings looked like the ones in Makati. The street markets near our hotel looked like the ones in Baclaran.
And finally, Disneyland!

Day Three
On our last day, we went touring around the city again and we stopped by some stores.
Last minute shopping, ika nga. lol.
We went to street markets to buy some souvenirs for everyone back at home.
The vendors at Hong Kong are really different from the vendors at Baclaran.
And here’s a tip: Ask (and buy) at your own risk.
Don’t ask about the price if you’re not really that interested on the item; the vendors would push you to buy it. Lol.

That’s how we ended up buying the Baymax Powerbank. We found it cute but it was expensive. We made up our minds and went looking for other things to buy. But the vendor ran after us, gave it at the lowest price they can give and won’t take no for an answer.
We also went to Hong Kong Central District and did a tad more of shopping.
To be honest, I didn't want to go back.
I was (and still) in love with Hong Kong. It made me forget about the things I was stressing about. It was relieving even though the walks and rides were tiring.
I'll be back, Hong Kong!
